The Sovereign Council
The Sovereign Council consists of six elite members that watch over the rest of the species, keeping the peace between them whether they're rivals or not. It doesn't include students, but it does include teachers. The Council is looked up to, and although the students are unaware as to who is a part of it and who isn't, it doesn't really matter. The Council has a strong amount of power and can contain any sort of creature species.

Angels
Angels are usually very sweet-natured and light creatures. They tend to have lighter-hued appearances, though this can change and is not uncommon. They wear a pair of feathered wings that often come in white or soft shades of gray, and are able to be hidden or tucked away. They age very slowly, often growing through decades.

Demons
The beings from hell. However, not all Demons are evil or bad, and though most are born to demonic going-on-human parents, they still have a bad reputation. Demons are the opposite of angels. They hold the power to set things aflame, though this does not pertain to people - directly. Like Angels, they too age very slowly, often growing through decades.

Ghosts/Ghouls
Also known as entities, Ghosts are female, while Ghouls are male. They often seem to be a bit transparent if they choose to be. Ghosts and Ghouls have very soft skin and are usually surrounded by cool, invisible clouds of air and can travel through both inanimate objects as well as people should they choose to do so. They don't age, well, because they're dead.

Gifteds
This special group of people have a variety of powers that can be applied to them. However, each Gifted is only allowed one power. Gifteds live as long as humans do and age the same way as well. They don't usually have any intriguing features like pointed ears or tails, and they also lack horns or skin mutations.

Humans
Humans are just your average, run-of-the-mill people around Black Creek. They don't have any unusual powers or traits and are just your every-day students.

Hybrids
Hybrids are a mix of any species. However, they are limited to only two species at once. They can harvest any powers that come with the species that run in their blood and usually age depending on their genes.

Shifters
Shifters are humans that have the ability to change into the form of a selected animal. There are various shifters that have the power to choose more than one animal, though this is rare. Shape shifting genes are passed down through every other generation; they can not be turned.

Sirens
Sirens are very slender, quick creatures. They can leap twice their height and are found to be very strong. However, they will succumb to a stab in the heart, if you can land it on a Siren. They appear elf like and often contain pointed ears and teeth that they can hide. They age slowly, usually turning every six to eight years.

Vampires
Vampires have pale skin that is constantly icy to the touch. They have retractable fangs that can be displayed or hidden. Vampires are very fast and though they don't like the sun, they aren't exactly allergic to it. They also go unaffected by holy water or garlic. Most vampires are seductive and charming and can usually make you do whatever they please. They usually live well into many millenniums. They aren't immortal; a stab through their heart usually does the trick.

Werewolves
Werewolves are able to sport ears and a tail at their whim. However, they are also able to take a completely human form as well. Werewolves are fast and strong, and their senses increase by a great amount when they turn. However, they suffer heavily from amnesia both during their transformations and the time they are in their wolf form. They aren't immortal; a stab to the heart usually puts them down. They age as humans do. When in their werewolf form, werewolves tend to be a lot more feral or untamed and usually have a posture closely related to this. Werewolves have one night a year where they transform whether they want to or not - their birthday.

Witches/Warlocks
Also known as sorcerers, Witches are girls, Warlocks are boys. They harvest various powers as far as spells go, and can often be found testing out new tricks, spells, and other things of that nature, and they age just as humans do.
